Robert Eric Doerfler
Bio/About:

My interest in homeopathy began when I was an emergency nurse in the 1980s, and I wondered how we can prevent health catastrophe. My experience includes infection control nursing, home care, hospice, and intensive care. I have been a nurse practitioner since 1996, concurrently with homeopathic medical study, which I completed in 2002. Doctoral study emphasized the connections among the mind, and the neurological and immune systems, and while I am an Adult Primary Care NP, my practice focus includes both primary care problems and complex conditions, especially autoimmunity and autoinflammation.

Other Degrees and Certifications:
Ph.D. Duquesne University School of Nursing, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
Services Offered:
As a full-time university professor, my practice time is limited to a once-a-week clinic primarily aimed at classical homeopathic case-taking and treatment. I also use herbal, nutritional, and allopathic therapies, as needed, in an integrative way. I see children as a homeopath only; children under 16 must have a regular primary care provider for anything other than homeopathic therapy. While I can provide most primary care services, I encourage adult patients to have a regular provider because of my limited schedule. I also specialize in procedural dermatological surgery for examination and remediation of skin lesions such as cancers and other problems. My university work includes teaching (pharmacology, physical examination, geriatrics, research methods) and research (in alternative medicine and medical education).
