What drew me to homeopathy is its unique blend of clearly scientific methodology married with deep psychological insights. My interest in science steered me toward engineering school and post-graduate studies, but the birth of my first child changed my direction. I had many questions concerning health, and how to deal with simple colds and flus other than what was presented by conventional medicine. When my young family eventually settled in Denver, I chose to go back to school and study homeopathy. I graduated as a certified homeopath (CHom) in 1999 from the Colorado Institute for Classical Homeopathy in Boulder, Colorado. I then proceeded to apply my new knowledge to family and friends. I opened a home-based homeopathy practice after moving to Calgary in 2004 and joined Renewal Homeopathy and Wellness (formerly Xerion) in 2009. I began adding flower essences to my repertoire in 2006, after studying the Bach and FES flower essences. My interest has deepened toward an understanding of the human being as a body-soul-spirit entity in constant evolution, as well as in interaction within a community. I find that flower essence therapy helps to add more flexibility to life, thus helping to move through the changes and challenges which inevitably come. Combining homeopathy and flower essences is one way to address the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual changes experienced at any age, from early childhood to mature adulthood. With a better sense of oneself, one can better grow into making healthy life choices and can better connect with his/her capacity to create a fulfilling life. I feel privileged to journey along side the people, adults and children, who choose homeopathy and flower essences as healing therapies. As a footnote, I am fluent in French and always enjoy the opportunity to converse in my native tongue.
